EAST

ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT - POTSDAM, NY

Reports to:  General Superintendent
Location:  Potsdam, New York
Start date:  ASAP

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Description: The Superintendent role works closely in conjunction with the Project Manager to manage daily construction site activities to keep projects on schedule and on budget, reporting to the Project Manger regarding project-specific tasks. The responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Supervision and direction of all onsite contractors/sub-contractors/suppliers etc.
  • Develop site logistics plan for temporary conditions and maintain updated staging and logistics throughout project, including planning and coordination for final removal
  • Conduct weekly coordination/scheduling meetings with subcontractors.
  • Produce and update a 3-Week Look Ahead Schedule for each onsite weekly coordination meeting and Action Item list to track assignment and completion of critical items
  • Coordination and scheduling of project subcontractors and vendors to arrive on jobsite as required to maintain project schedule
  • Oversee and direct self-performed trades, managing daily tasks, timesheets and monitoring of production and labor costs to allowable budget
  • Manage receipt of direct purchase materials and services, collecting and coding delivery tickets and receipts. Ensure tickets are turned in to the office for processing of invoices
    • Enforce safety compliance per company standards and OSHA requirements, including all required reporting and onsite safety meetings
    • Prepare and submit daily reports through the Procore system
    • Ensure SWPPP documents are current and maintained onsite
    • Coordinate inspection requests/signoffs with Regulatory Officials
    • Maintain a complete and thorough understanding of the Contract Documents, keeping current on all changes and RFI’s
    • Review Subcontractors work for compliance with Contract Documents and Quality Control Plan
    • Maintain professional relations and communications with all involved in the project
    • Maintain and enforce jobsite cleanliness, including holding subcontractors responsible for daily cleanup of their work.
    • Maintain project schedule and ensure the projects achieve Substantial Completion per Contract. Advise and work with Project Manager for any recovery efforts needed.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry-specific experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in industry
  • OSHA 10 training
  • Ability to work remotely and independently from corporate office in a jobsite environment, working virtually to interact with the office and with others working remotely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software.
  • Proficient use of Procore software
  • Adaptability for introduction and implementation of new software and systems/templates for operational improvement and efficiency
  • Travel as needed
  • High degree of customer service and communication skills. This position requires frequent communication with all project stakeholders with exchange of reliable information in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and to maintain documentation and files for record retention and easy retrieval in a manner consistent with company standards and policies.
  • Requires the ability to perform essential job functions on construction sites where hazardous materials and activities generally require special precautions and occasionally in an outside environment unprotected from weather conditions
  • Must be able to move freely around construction sites, navigate safely on uneven terrain, to climb ladders and use lifts and personnel hoist ways.

FOREMAN - POTSDAM, NY

Reports to:  Superintendent

Roles & Responsibilities

Description: The foreman role works under and reports directly to the jobsite superintendent, providing direct hands-on management of onsite crews, self-performing miscellaneous tasks as needed and supporting the Superintendent with required onsite administrative duties.   The responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Direction of assigned trades and subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Performance of miscellaneous job site tasks as assigned by Superintendent, including carpentry work, assisting in job site cleanup, establishing, and maintaining temporary conditions and enclosures and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide input to Superintendent in development of the 3-Week Look Ahead Schedule

  • Lifting and moving of heavy objects frequently with operation of small tools and equipment as skill level and training/certifications allow
  • Must be able to move freely around construction sites, navigate safely on uneven terrain, to climb ladders and use lifts and personnel hoist ways.

MIDWEST

ENGINEER PROJECT MANAGER/PROJECT ENGINEER - SPRINGFIELD, MO

The Vecino Group is seeking an engineer project manager or project engineer with a desire to help in our mission to create developments for the greater good—through a variety of multi-family housing and mixed use projects, both new construction and historic renovations across the country. Our need is for a team member who has experience in MEP engineering with strong emphasis on electrical.  This position requires preparation of design calculations, product selections, the creation of construction documents, and construction administration experience.
We are a vertically integrated development company – a creative and mission based family that sees projects from creation to operation.

Must haves:

  • 5+ years of post-bachelors degree engineering experience
  • Bachelors or Masters degree from a NCEES accredited school
  • Background in MEP design within multi-family and light-commercial disciplines.  Structural experience is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred.
  • Experience at all stages of design including design, systems selections, planning, technical documentation, construction administration, and leadership/mentorship skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD is required.  Experience with Revit is a plus

  • 5+ years of post-bachelors degree architectural firm experience
  • Bachelors or Masters degree from a NAAB accredited school
  • Experience at all stages of design including conceptual design, programming, planning, technical documentation, project management, construction administration, and leadership/mentorship skills
  • Experience with Revit
  • Experience with multifamily or hospitality design
