Dustin Wilson awarded Superintendent of the Year for work on Block 22.

Springfield, MO –

Outta site onsite. Vecino Construction’s Dustin Wilson was named Superintendent of the Year for his work on Block 22 at the Springfield 2020 “Salute to Construction” Awards on November 5th.

This year, due to Covid, the AIA Sponsored event—which honors firms and individuals in the design and construction fields—was held online instead of an in-person. Nevertheless, thanks to some stealthy coordination between the event chairs and VG’s Bruce Adib-Yazdi and Josh Reich—the award made its way to the Vecino office where Dustin was “in town for meetings” allowing him to receive the award as it was announced!  This win is very much deserved. Block 22 was a challenging, multi-building Historic Rehab project—and Dustin assumed command as it was in full-blown construction mode. Development partner Shawn Naccarato of Pittsburg State University shared, “Dustin was a linchpin of the Block22. He became superintendent during a particularly critical point and his leadership, commitment, and determination were invaluable to completing this transformational project.”  With the help of Project Manager Josh Tellefson, Dustin held the teams together, kept the work focused and steadily guided the build to completion. Cheers to you, Dustin!
